Opportunities in the Institute for Innovation and Entrepreneurship
The Institute for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (IIE) has a variety of opportunities for graduate and undergraduate students. IIE was established in April 2006 as a collaborative initiative of the schools of Arts and Humanities, Behavioral and Brain Sciences, Economic, Political and Policy Sciences, Engineering and Computer Science, Management, and Natural Sciences and Mathematics. The Institute fosters and nurtures a culture of creativity, innovation and exploration at UT Dallas.
Programs to encourage a student’s entrepreneurial mindset include the Entrepreneurship Club, the annual UT Dallas Business Idea Competition and the annual Computer Gaming Entrepreneurship Competition.
Students can also work more directly in technology commercialization as part of the IEE’s Commercialization and Entrepreneurship Boot Camp, which supports commercialization of UT Dallas technologies and is designed for students, faculty and staff members.
Students interested in any of these programs should contact the VDC.
